I grew up near Lake Superior and later settled in Colorado over 28 years ago. Summit County has been home for the past 14 years, and art has always been a part of my life.
Most of my pieces are done in a playful contemporary impressionism style. My work exhibits bold colors or elements of shadow and light to elicit a feeling rather than perfection of details, and its elements are both measured and spontaneous.
I create landscapes based on the beauty I see in Colorado and the American West, but other work is created by observing magical things in everyday life. Art reflects life and life reflects art in more ways than we can count, so I find inspiration everywhere. Less obvious but captivating details are present if we take time to look.
The process of creating art is delightful and I strive for the end result to resonate with the viewer in equal measure.
